Sparkly Brain Collective

A consultation and support group for therapists with ADHD

Make deep and meaningful connections with other therapists with ADHD

Open to therapists in any U.S. state

Many therapists with ADHD live with a strange professional tension.

You may be the person others turn to when things are complicated.
You can track emotional nuance, hold multiple perspectives, and help clients untangle patterns that have been running for years.

But inside your own mind, things can feel… less orderly.

Ideas move quickly.
Energy comes in waves.
Insight is rarely the problem.

The harder part is translating that insight into a life that feels sustainable.

Many thoughtful clinicians quietly cycle through:

• burnout from holding so much for others
• “analysis paralysis” in their own lives
• shame around productivity or follow-through
• the sense that your mind moves faster than your systems can keep up

Many therapists with ADHD know exactly what they should do.

You may understand your patterns, your parts, your nervous system responses, even the early experiences that shaped certain habits.

And still find yourself caught in the same loops anyway.

Not because you lack insight.

Because insight and implementation are two different skills.

Sparkly Brain Collective is a place where therapists with ADHD can slow down together and make sense of the way their minds actually work.

Not a productivity group.
Not another room where you have to perform competence.

A space where your brain makes sense.

Who This Space Is For

This group is designed for therapists who:

• identify as having ADHD or strongly relate to ADHD patterns
• have strong psychological insight but still find themselves stuck in familiar loops
• feel depleted from constantly being “the helper”
• want connection with other thoughtful clinicians whose minds move similarly
• appreciate both reflective depth and practical support
• live anywhere in the U.S. and want community with other ADHD therapists

A formal ADHD diagnosis is not required.

Self-identified ADHD is welcome.

What Happens in the Room

This group moves between reflection, conversation, and practical experimentation.

Across the cycle we may explore:

• parts-informed reflection and internal conflicts common among ADHD therapists
• nervous system regulation for chronic cognitive overload and burnout
• conversations about being both therapist and human
• executive functioning supports that respect how ADHD minds operate
• shared wisdom from clinicians navigating similar terrain

Some meetings are discussion-based.

Others include guided reflection or practical tools.

Insight is welcome but messiness is welcome too.

The Energy of the Group

This is not a place where you need to prove you’re competent.

You can bring the part of you that is articulate and psychologically sophisticated.

You can also bring the part that feels scattered, overwhelmed, or stuck in a pattern you thought you would have figured out by now.

Both belong here.

Many therapists experience a quiet sense of relief simply being in a room with others whose minds operate in similar ways.

The Container

The group runs in 3-month cycles so the space has time to build familiarity, trust, and meaningful conversation.

Participants commit to the full cycle and can decide afterward if they’d like to continue into the next one.

Group size is intentionally small.

Limited to 6–8 therapists per cohort

When the group fills, additional therapists are placed on a waitlist for the next cycle.

Between-Session Connection

Participants also have access to a private group thread between sessions.

This space allows members to:

• share reflections that arise during the week
• ask for perspective when something feels stuck
• exchange resources that support ADHD minds
• stay connected between meetings

For many clinicians, this ongoing connection becomes one of the most valuable parts of the group.

About the Facilitator

Dr. Val Camarano, PsyD
NY + CT Licensed Psychologist

I work primarily with thoughtful, high-capacity adults whose minds are creative, fast-moving, and often misunderstood. Many of the therapists I work with identify as having ADHD themselves.

My clinical approach integrates several modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).

These approaches can be particularly helpful for therapists navigating:

• harsh internal critics
• shame around productivity or inconsistency
• attachment patterns that formed long before you became a therapist
• the gap between understanding something intellectually and actually feeling it inside

Many ADHD clinicians are highly compassionate with their clients but much harder on themselves.

Experiential approaches and parts work can help soften that dynamic and create more space for self-compassion.

Sparkly Brain Collective grew out of years of conversations with therapists who felt deeply capable in the therapy room yet alone when it came to understanding their own minds.

This space allows clinicians to step out of the role of “the one holding the frame” and connect with peers navigating similar terrain.

Joining the Group

Because group cohesion matters, new participants begin with a brief consultation.

If you’re curious about the group, we can talk briefly to see if it feels like a fit.
